From Hwangjeom to Wolseongjae is 3.6 km. You follow the Wolseong valley, then climb through bamboo grass to the ridge that links Namdeogyusan and Sakkatbong. One way from here goes to Namdeogyusan, the other to Sakkatbong. You can stop here and go down, or carry on to the summit.
