From Hwangjeom to the Sakkatjae shelter is 4.2 km, then 2.1 km to Muryongsan, 4.1 km to Dongyeopryeong and 4.5 km down to the Anseong ranger station, roughly 15 km. It takes the middle stretch of the full traverse and fits it in a day. The moment you reach the Muryongsan ridge, the main crest opens out ahead and behind. The Chilyeon valley on the way down has falls strung one after another.
