It is 8.2 km each way over Halmibong, Samjabong and Seobong to the Namdeogyusan summit. Because you leave the car at the pass and come back to it, there is no taxi to arrange as with the Yeonggak descent. Several summits up and down, so your legs know the distance before the numbers do. In return the trail is nearly empty.
