This is the classic Deogyusan traverse. From Yuksimnyeong it passes Namdeogyusan, Sakkatjae, Muryongsan, Dongyeopryeong and Baegambong to Hyangjeokbong in 23.8 km, then drops to Samgong, 32 km in all. In one push it takes about 13 hours. Many people split it with a night at the Sakkatjae shelter.
