From Yeonggak it is 3.4 km to the Namdeogyusan summit, 5.3 km on past Wolseongjae and Sakkatbong to the Sakkatjae shelter, then 4.2 km down the stream to Hwangjeom. You leave by the far side instead of retracing your steps. The path narrows through bamboo grass below Wolseongjae and turns to ice in winter.
