Baekdamsa Temple

백담사

A temple deep in the Inner Seorak valley

The temple sits about 6 km up the valley from Yongdae-ri. The story goes that 100 pools lie between Daecheongbong and the temple, hence Baekdam, "hundred pools". It is also the start of the long hikes to Bongjeongam and Osaeam. The stream in front is crowded with small stacked stones left by visitors.
