About 22 km from Jungnyeong over the second Yeonhwabong, Yeonhwabong, Birobong and Gukmangbong, then through Neujeunmaegi pass down to Eouigok. The crest keeps its grass and open sky the whole way, and nowhere else on the mountain gives you so much wind. There is only one shelter, at the second Yeonhwabong, so once in you commit. Budget around ten hours and start before dawn.
