You can see Cheonbuldong at its best without touching the summit. From Sogongwon it is 6.5 km one way past Biseondae, Guimyeonam and Oryeon Falls to Yangpok. The stream cuts a chain of pools and falls between granite walls, and the whole gorge turns red in autumn. Rest at Yangpok and walk back the way you came, a day trip made from the opening act of the summit route.
