The classic plan starts at Sogongwon, passes Biseondae and Maedeungnyeong, crosses Gongnyong ridge, and drops from Heuiungak hut over Daecheongbong to Osaek in two days. Accounts of doing it in one go run well past 12 hours. The ridge is a string of saw-tooth peaks with constant ups and downs. In bad weather you turn back.
