From the top, ridges and valleys fold away in every direction, and on a clear dawn clouds fill the valleys. People queue to be photographed at the marker, one group at a time, and the line gets long on autumn weekend afternoons. Sweat chills fast if you linger, so take the photo and find a spot out of the wind.
