Even when the Cheonhwangsa side is packed on an autumn weekend, this line stays calm. You enter the forest across from the gym on the edge of Yeongam town, reach Sanseongdae first, then follow the ridge to Cheonhwangbong. Count about an hour to Sanseongdae and another hour from there to the summit. No suspension bridge to show off, but the path under your feet is quiet.
