From Namgyo-ri you pass Sibiiseonnyeotang and climb to Daeseungnyeong, where the northwest ridge opens up. Cross the boulders of Gwidaegi-cheongbong, then Hangyeryeong junction, Kkeutcheong and Jungcheong to finish at the summit. It is 22.2 km of ups and downs, and the last water is in the Sibiiseonnyeotang stream. It takes about 13 hours, so a pre-dawn start is all but fixed.
