It walks the whole northwest ridge, crosses the summit and drops through Cheonbuldong, the longest single traverse in Seorak. Namgyo-ri to Sogongwon is about 37 km and close to 24 hours with breaks. Water is scarce on the ridge and hut availability changes year to year. Plan for either an overnight or a dawn-to-night push.
