The route climbs from the Yeongcheon side on the north flank. From Chisan Resort it passes Sudosa and Chisan Falls, reaches the Sinnyeongjae entrance, goes up past Jinburam and tops out on Dongbong. The Yeongcheon guide gives 4.2 km and 3 h 10 min one way: short in distance but steady uphill. Far fewer people than at Donghwasa or Sutaegol.
