Follow the Yaksu valley Buddha sign to the right of a restaurant. The stream path turns to a rocky slope quickly, and an 8.6 m standing Buddha stands by the trail, the largest on Namsan. There are fewer temple sites here than on other routes, but the climb keeps going straight to Geumobong. Exit by Samneung or Yongjang rather than retracing.
