From the Samneung pines the path climbs past Sangseonam to Geumobong. Carved Buddhas sit on boulders beside the trail, so you walk, stop, walk again. The steepest part is before Sangseonam, then it flattens onto the ridge. The top is screened by trees, so you sit on a bench and head down.
