From the Mudeung Pyeongbaek Forest the route passes Anyangsan and Nakdabong, climbs to Jangbuljae, touches Seoseokdae, then drops through Jungbong and Jungmeorijae to Jeungsimsa. The forest sits at 417 m, so the first climb is gentle. Most of the day is spent on the ridge, and it ends when the Gwangju skyline opens at the bottom.
