It is 2.2 km from the Suman Visitor Center to Jungmeorijae and another 0.9 km to Jangbuljae. The route is short, so the climb is direct, and long stretches are stone steps. At Jangbuljae the columns of Ipseokdae and Seoseokdae are right in front of you, and in silver-grass season the ridge turns into a pale sea. It is far quieter than the Jeungsimsa side.
