From the south car park you climb the ridge past Geumdang, the lookout and Bongdubong. It is 0.9 km on to Ammaibong, over Cheonwangmun gap to the top, then down through Tapsa and back to the start. Ridge views, the summit and the tower yard all sit in one loop, the way to walk Maisan properly in a day.
