Starting at Seongsamjae, the 34.3 km ridge traverse passes Nogodan, Yeonhacheon, Byeoksoryeong, Seseok and Jangteomok, tags Cheonwangbong and drops to Jungsan-ri. The national park service puts it at about 20 hours, so most people split it into two or three days. For hours the view stays wide open along the crest, and the whole plan hangs on a hut booking in the middle. Book the huts first and fit the rest around them.
