From Jikjeon village a paved road runs 3 km to the ranger station, then a forest path leads 2.5 km to Piagol hut. The stream is in your ears the whole way and in autumn both banks turn red. Piagol junction lies another hour and a half to two hours beyond the hut, so many walkers turn around there. This entry covers the 5 km round trip from the ranger station to the hut.
