You climb from Seongpanak, look into the crater, and walk down to Gwaneumsa. A gentle forest trail leads to Jindallaebat where the sky opens, then after the crater you turn down past Samgakbong and the Tamra valley. The two routes add up to 18.3 km and take a full day. Since you never retrace your steps, the scenery never repeats.
