The route runs through long stretches of forest, opens to sky past Jindallaebat, then climbs steeply to the crater rim. The slope is gentle for a summit trail, but the distance wears you down. Many people refuel with instant noodles at the Jindallaebat shelter. The lake only shows when the cloud clears.
