Saraoreum Crater Lake via Seongpanak

Walk 5.8 km up the Seongpanak trail and a junction sends you 600 m sideways to Saraoreum. Rainwater collects in the crater floor and, after a wet spell, the sky and the ridge sit in it like a mirror. When it is dry the floor turns to grass, so check the weather first. From the lakeside deck the ridge toward the main crater is in view. On days when the legs will not make the summit, plenty of hikers make this the goal.
