From the Cheonwangsa entrance on the 1100 road, a cedar lane takes about ten minutes to the parking lot where the trail begins. Then roughly fifty minutes up the Ahunhopgol valley through mixed pine and broadleaf forest brings you to the hermitage among tall rocks, with a line of Buddhist invocation carved into the cliff. It is twenty minutes by car from the city, and the round trip takes two to three hours.
