From the Beomnyunsa entrance to the Meeting Forest the path is the same as the spring route. There it splits off onto the rock ridge of Janggunbong and Imkkeokjeongbong, 3.9 km up to the summit. It runs about 500 m longer than the spring route, and the crags slow you down. Legend says the outlaw Im Kkeokjeong hid in a cave under Janggunbong to shake off government troops. On clear days the summit looks across the Imjin toward Songaksan in Kaesong.
