From the large car park you follow the stream embankment, pass the ticket booth and enter a cedar forest path. Pause at the field of monks' stupas, cross the Daeheungsa courtyard and take the rise to Iljiam. It is the small hermitage where the monk Choui lived and brewed tea, and sitting on its porch makes you want a cup. You can do it without hiking gear.
