From the Daeheungsa main gate you take the Bugam path behind the temple and follow the stream up past the old Manilam site to Manilje pass. In autumn the pass is carpeted with silver grass and Duryunbong looks like a long oval. From there the path to Garyeonbong gets steep, though wooden steps now ease it. Most walkers go back down the way they came.
