The temple sits where the Duryunsan ridge curls around it like a horseshoe. A forest path leads from the main gate to the main hall, and the Thousand Buddhas Hall holds a thousand statues. It is both start and finish for most hikes. It is one of Korea UNESCO World Heritage mountain temples.
