This is the best-known way up Maecheondae from the Nonsan side. A stream joins you almost at the car park, and Seonnyeo Falls and Surak Falls come one after the other. The valley air stays cool even in summer. Through the Gunji gorge a stairway of 220 iron steps climbs between cliff walls, and after the orange Gunji Cloud Bridge the ridge is close. There is no cable-car queue as on the Wanju side, so even autumn weekends keep some quiet on the trail.
