The temple sits where the Birobong Guryong route begins. A long forest road leads to the gate and turns into a tunnel of colour in autumn. The courtyard in front of the Bogwangnu hall is a good place to catch your breath before or after the hike. Many hikers loop the grounds once on the way out.
