From the forest road below Guryongsa, the first 3 km to Seryeom Falls follow a stream on an easy track. After the falls the mood changes: steps and stony trail climb the steep slope called Sadari-byeongchang, the ladder ridge, without letting up. When you reach the ridge the wind opens up and the summit marker comes into view. It is the most-used way to the top, so you meet people all along on weekend mornings.
