Past the village at the Gagok-ri bus terminus, the Neomeogol valley begins. It is the quietest approach to the summit. The first stretch follows an easy stream, and the slope sharpens as the ridge nears. A separate path from the same village loops through Anmal and Bogwangsa, so check the junction once more on the way up.
