From the car park on the pass you head straight into forest, pass Hwalmokjae and reach the west summit Chilseongdae, then follow the ridge to Unjangdae. It is about 2.8 km one way, steep from the first step, with a roped rock section and loose gravel. The view opens all at once on the ridge. Short, but not easy.
