The route runs 13.5 km one way from Hwabuk up to Munjangdae, along the ridge to Cheonwangbong, then down the Janggak valley. You never retrace a step, so the north and south faces of Songnisan fit into one day. The valley at the end holds Janggak Falls, which makes this a favorite in summer. The start and finish are in different places, so plan your ride back before you go.
