From the Hwabuk ranger station it is 3.3 km one way, the shortest line up Songnisan. The path passes Osong Falls and climbs onto the rock ridge. The park lists 6.8 km and 4.5 hours return, while trip reports run 3-4 hours. It stays in shade, so ice lingers in winter.
