The route is 13.8 km round trip from the Beopjusa ranger station past Sesimjeong to Cheonwangbong and back the same way. The first stretch runs gently beside a stream, then the climb begins after Sesimjeong. The forest near Sanghwan-am below the summit is deep and quiet. The park lists 6.5 hours return.
