From the Cheondong trailhead it is about 6.8 km to Birobong, two and a half to three hours up. You start with the sound of the stream, and trees thin out past Cheondong junction. It is longer than Eouigok but the slope is more even. Near the junction you pass azaleas and bleached dead trees.
