Starting at Eunhaesa on the Yeongcheon side, the trail passes Baekheungam and Jungamam, crosses Neungseongjae and drops to Donghwasa on the other flank of the mountain. The Yeongcheon city guide gives 9 km and 3 h 40 min. It cuts across Palgongsan from east to west, so leave early enough to reach the end in daylight. The hermitages are working retreats; keep voices low.
