Start at the Woljeongsa car park and follow the sound of water up to Sangwonsa. It is mostly dirt and the grade is gentle, so sneakers do the job. You pass the hermitage Jijangam, a log footbridge and a few stepping-stone crossings. In autumn the trees along the stream turn all at once and you keep stopping. The path ends at Sangwonsa, where the Birobong trail begins.
