Around the Iljumun gate of Woljeongsa, Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang

Past the Iljumun gate the firs grow so tall on both sides that the sky narrows to a strip. The path is flat earth and runs all the way to the temple grounds. Slow down and birdsong mixes with the sound of the stream between the trunks. In autumn needles and leaves cover the ground and footsteps go quiet. Even with a look around the temple, an hour is plenty.
