The loop goes from Bogyeongsa through Munsuam and Munsubong to the summit of Samjibong, then down past Eunpokpo and Yeonsan Falls. Between Munsubong and the summit the ridge rises and falls gently. Records vary from 11 to 15 km, four to five hours. Adding Hyangnobong makes it over 18 km and about 6.5 hours.
