Duck restaurants cluster along the border of Yudong and Sinan-dong. The star is oritang: duck simmered four hours or more with doenjang, ground perilla seeds, garlic and ginger until the broth turns thick and nutty. Roast duck and spicy stir-fried duck are on the menus too. Gwangju locals treat it as stamina food.
