The hike starts on a forest road past a barrier inside the recreation forest. You begin at about 700 m, so the climb to the same summit is far shorter than from Mulhan valley. After about an hour and a half you reach the unmanned shelter, and the top is a short push beyond. Out and back to the summit takes two to three hours; the long version swings over Seokgibong, Samdobong and Samamgol Pass and drops to Mulhan valley in about five.
