From the car park on the Domaryeong pass you climb wooden steps past the Sangyongjeong pavilion and reach the ridge. Gakhosan is 1.4 km on, a twin-rock summit, then 3.4 km of gentle ups and downs lead to Minjujisan, with an unmanned shelter just before the top. From the summit a 3.8 km forest path drops toward Hwangryongsa, crossing a suspension bridge on the way. You start at 800 m so the climb is modest, and the wind eases on the way down.
