Follow the stream-side dirt road 3 km from Gate 1 to Gate 2 (Jogokgwan) and turn back. It takes about 50 minutes up and about 100 round trip. You pass the old post-station site and Yongchu Falls beside Gyogwijeong, and Jogok spring waits behind the gate. It does not go near the summit, so comfortable shoes are all you need.
