Up the Baekdudaegan ridge from the pass and back the same way

You start at Gwaebangnyeong, where the Baekdudaegan ridge crosses the road. Yeosigolsan, Unsubong and Baegunbong come in turn as low ups and downs before the last climb to Birobong. The summit is about 5 km from the pass, longer than from the Jikjisa side, but you park at the pass and return the same way, so there is no shuttle to arrange. Unlike the traverse you retrace the ridge instead of dropping to Jikjisa.
