You start at Gwaebangnyeong, a pass the Baekdudaegan ridge crosses. Yeosigolsan, Unsubong and Baegunbong come one after another before the climb to Birobong. Past Hyeongjebong you turn off at the Baramjae junction toward Sinseonbong and Mangwolbong and drop to Jikjisa. Each peak is a short up and down, so no single stretch is brutal, but the day is long. The 400 m descent below Sinseonbong has a rope section.
