From the Cheonjeong ranger station the route climbs the Cheonjeonggol valley, passes Keunbaejae, Nammaetap and Sambulbong, crosses the Jayeonseongneung ridge to Gwaneumbong, then goes over Yeoncheonbong and Yeoncheonbong Pass down to Gapsa. About 10 km, around six hours. It runs the usual Gapsa-to-Donghaksa traverse in reverse.
