The route runs past the university arboretum, follows the stream upstream and climbs onto the ridge past the Jaunam flag peak. It draws fewer people than the SNU valley route, and the rock sections call for hands. Near the helipad it meets the summit ridge to reach Yeonjudae, then descends the stone stairs to Gwaneumsa on the Sadang side. Expect 8 to 9 km in 3 to 5 hours, and keep an eye on the signs near the bottom where the junctions are confusing.
